Call 911 Immediately If Someone Has:
🧠 Sudden confusion, numbness, or weakness (possible stroke)
❤️ Chest pain or pressure
😤 Difficulty breathing
😵 Loss of consciousness or seizure
🩸 Uncontrollable bleeding
🧪 Suspected poisoning or overdose
🐝 Severe allergic reaction (swelling, hives, trouble breathing)
🚗 Serious trauma (car crash, fall, head injury)
😨 Sudden behavioral change or unresponsiveness
⏱️ If it feels urgent—don’t wait. Call 911.
Drive Yourself, or Call for Help?
You might think it’s faster or easier to drive to the hospital—but that can be risky.
Call 911 instead of driving if:
The person is unstable or getting worse
You think they might need medical care before arriving
You’re feeling panicked, unsafe, or unsure
Driving could put others in danger (especially at high speeds or in traffic)
🚑 Paramedics can start treatment right away and alert the ER to be ready.
